Product Growth at Exa · San Francisco

Thesis

Within a few years, AI agents will search the web more than people do. That is Exa's bet, and mine. Exa is an applied AI lab building web search for AI agents, used by teams at Cursor, Cognition, and HubSpot. Much of my own job already runs on agents I build.

Against slop

Agents make it cheap to produce more: more research, more drafts, more words. Using them this heavily means slop is a constant pull: invented facts, off-topic writing, volume nobody asked for. I don't think you can get it to zero. The work is keeping it close.

Now · Aug 2026

Partnering with teams building AI products as they bring Exa into production. Rebuilding my own workflow as a set of agents, from research to follow-through. The interesting problem is deciding what to delegate, what to verify, and what still deserves a conversation.

Background

I grew up in Bulgaria, wrote code at SAP, moved to Silicon Valley, and found my way into go-to-market after an MBA at Berkeley Haas. Since then: first sales hire for a new AI product division at Google Cloud (3,000+ customers, $20M ARR), first sales leader at Triplebyte (a team of one to twenty, zero to eight figures; acquired by Karat), early-stage go-to-market at Trunk.io. At Exa, the two halves of that path finally run together: engineering and growth.
